Neighbors

Last weekend, the boy next door came over around noon to see if Drew could play. The family had just gotten a new golden retriever puppy and he was anxious to show her off. Well, Crusher was at his post-game chiropractic appointment (amazing that they were able to "cure" his neck injury in just two visits). But afterwards, he barely waited for the car to stop in the driveway before jumping out and running over the neighbor's house. They played over there for about an hour, came to our house for about an hour, then went back next door. About two hours later (at the UT half time), I suggested that we head over there to make sure the parents didn't need to be rescued ;) They didn't, so we watched a little football with them, then went back home to fold laundry. On our way out they invited us back over for an impromptu post-game bbq. So we made a quick trip to the store for some side dishes and dessert and then went back over. They are really nice people and we had a relaxing time sitting outside, watching more football and sharing some food and beers. Around 9 that night we decided it was time to give them their house back. The Boy and his friend had just spent a whopping 8.5 hours playing. It's great having a kid the same age next door!
