The check is in the mail

Ah the proverbial saying. Poor mom. She's been waiting for said check since she arrived. Without it, she cannot obtain the automobile of her choice (or any other for that matter). I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to be cooped up in someone else's house and living out of boxes with no means for escape.
