Rattler!

OMG. Kyle was just out weeding the mulch bed in the front yard. Out comes a rattle snake. Only 8 or 10 inches long, but sheesh!

Update: went running with Caitriona this morning and what should cross our path but a scorpion - just meandering across the sidewalk. Yikes!

Update 2: for the love of god. I was feeding Mallory lunch. Kyle was standing at the window biding his time before he had to leave for a meeting. "Holy -bleep- there's another -bleeping- snake!" he says. Sure enough, another young rattler was out by the tree. I officially have the heebie geebies every time I go outside now!
